Abstract
The paper focuses on the problem of the impact of global climate change on the state of the economy, ecology, and social sphere. The critical impact of climatic disturbances on agriculture is analyzed. The relevance of solving the problem of crop exposure to climatic and other natural disasters increases many times because of the key role that agriculture plays in ensuring the food security of the country. The analysis of global climate change trends is carried out; their direct and indirect consequences are specified. The complexity of studying and predicting climatic disturbances is emphasized. The primary sources of uncertainty in constructing climate models and determining the degree of climate influence on the economic prospects of regional development are identified. The relationship between the dynamics and structure of economic growth on the dynamics of anthropogenic emissions is established. The results of the analysis of the effects of greenhouse gas emissions and extreme events on crop yields and gross harvest of crops in Russia and its regions are discussed. The authors argue for the urgent need to take measures to combat climate change at all levels of the economic system.
