Abstract
Evidence-based practice and its problems are discussed, focusing on philosophical issues, research design, and the interpretation of evidence. The evidence base for personal and relational construct psychotherapy is reviewed, including findings from both outcome and process research. Implications for research, clinical services and guidelines, and training are considered.
