Ethical standards promulgated by several disciplines (medicine, law, psychology) are contrasted with some agricultural disciplines. Several major agricultural disciplines are explicit about the role of ethics especially related to professional conduct. Almost no disciplines have specific statements of how their practitioners are to deal with the most difficult ethical questions—the meta-ethical questions.
