Abstract
Between late April and early June 1905, H. Poincaré wrote three letters to H. Lorentz with key observations on Lorentz’s paper from 1904. These letters provide an insight into what Poincaré saw as key differences between his work in progress and the work published by Lorentz.
These handwritten letters from Henri Poincaré to Hendrik Lorentz, in French, are transcribed in Kox, A. J. (2008). The Scientific Correspondence of H. A. Lorentz (Vol. 1). New York: Springer Science+Business Media, pp. 176–9, letters 126–8 and are held by the Noord-Hollands Archief (http://noord-hollandsarchief.nl/bronnen/archieven?mivast=236&mizig=210&miadt=236&miaet=1&micode=364&minr=721571&miview=inv2). The letters are undated, but from the content they must have been written between late April and early June 1905.
