Abstract
The paper is about the adaptation that, in its own teaching tradition, the Section of Architectural Graphic Expression of the University of Valladolid has made, through innovation, for the implementation of the curricula of the artistic subjects in the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design and Product Development.
Structured in three successive levels, the subjects of Artistic Drawing, Artistic Expression and Design Workshop I, they contribute a greater specificity to the teaching of the Degree, differentiating it curricularly from the rest of the Industrial Engineering.
Specifically, Design Workshop I offers the possibility that, through a program that reflects the interdisciplinarity of the Degree itself, will lead the theoretical and practical concepts acquired by the student in the two preceding subjects, towards their application in the ideation and development of the product, from its initial stages to its final finish. This is achieved by launching a workshop type teaching, which combines all kinds of practical and innovative exercises, conveniently assisted and guided by the teacher.
