Abstract

To investigate the influences of reverberation on active noise control (ANC) headrest performance, a real-time ANC headrest system is implemented, and experiments are performed in an anechoic chamber and a reverberant chamber, respectively. It is shown that the noise reduction fluctuates with the frequency more severely in the reverberant chamber than that in the anechoic chamber. Initial analysis demonstrates that the echoes caused by the strong reflections in the reverberant chamber may lead to the worse noise reduction of feedforward structure.
