Abstract
The wrist is a complex anatomical region connecting the forearm and hand. It comprises multiple bones and their articulations, supporting ligaments, and muscles acting on the wrist or traversing it via tendons to act in the hand, accompanied by neurovascular structures.
In this chapter, we outline a methodical scheme for the clinical examination of the wrist and a structured approach to the application of special tests based upon the anatomical location of symptoms and signs. This will allow a comprehensive yet focused assessment with narrowing of the differential diagnosis before proceeding with further investigation or treatment.
