Abstract
A primary educational objective of anatomy education in a physical therapy program is to provide students with a broad understanding of functional anatomy so they can effectively assess the musculoskeletal system in patients and clients they will manage in the future. In addition to traditional faculty-led lecture and laboratory dissection activities including reciprocal peer teaching, near-peer teaching, use of audience response systems, performing clinical tests on human cadavers, painting and drawing anatomical relationships, and interprofessional education can foster learning of anatomical concepts as well as foster professional behaviors.
