Abstract
This chapter presents examples of an actual valuation of a cybersecurity company, using factors and methodology specific to this sector. The valuation begins by examining how the Company is positioned in its sector’s ecosystem, followed by a detailed examination of the Company’s technological solutions, customers, and products. This is followed by an analysis of the competing companies operating in various spaces in the sector, including their services and methods. The valuation’s Market Overview analyzes potential applications and markets for the Company’s services, and then evaluates the competitive value of Company C’s technological solutions and analyzes trends in the sector that could encourage or inhibit growth. Finally, it examines future trends and a financial analysis, including a company valuation, projections, equity, and a sensitivity analysis.
