Abstract

The definition of pneumonia varies depending on the organization, institution, or healthcare setting. The World Health Organization defines pneumonia based on clinical findings obtained by visual inspection and timing of the respiratory rate: cough, difficulty breathing, with or without fever, with either age-appropriate tachypnea or intercostal retractions [1, 2].
