Abstract
The major differences between structured and unstructured clinical interviews are discussed. The format and issues involved in the administration of structured diagnostic interviews for children and adolescents are the focus of this chapter. Examples of common interview formats and guidelines for the use of diagnostic interviews in the assessment of children and adolescents are provided.
