Abstract

European boreo-temperate element. Native in all CE countries. Prefers nutrient-rich organic soils with high groundwater table. Occurs in a wide range of base-rich to acidic soils on peaty and fen meadows, in the margins of peatbogs and oligotrophic fishponds. Root-hemiparasite. Pollen limitation in small populations.
