Abstract

In this era of social media and internet, it has become possible to harness every possible way of generating data. Today, when most of the data is available in the public domain still it is not an easy task to access it, as mining the large volumes of freely available data requires many technical insights. With the ever-increasing data volumes, the world is moving to a situation of data deluge. With this increasing pace, big data analytics will soon become the epicenter of global growth and policymaking. Today, when the world is slowly moving towards the concept of sustainable development in all domains, the big data analytics can prove to be a path breaking technology in the same direction and can provide handful of solutions for sustainability. This new concept of data analytics has also brought a significant change in the education system. The term education, which was earlier replaced as Smart Education with the advancements in the IoT technology, has now swiftly started moving towards a new concept of sustainable education. This paper discusses the role of big data analytics for developing an industry oriented education system leading to the concept of a sustainable education.
