Abstract
While digital spaces are facilitating sexism and misogyny, feminist activism is also taking advantage of digital affordances to counter these. This chapter focuses on Australian digital feminist spaces that encompass a range of initiatives, ranging from activist groups in social media to chat bots to support women trying to leave abusive relationships. The more-than-real aspects of digital spaces, including the environmental problems that these produce and may ameliorate, present complex issues for trying to improve these technologies. Importantly, digital feminist activists are aware of the environmental costs and benefits of digital technologies and offer sophisticated reflections on how these dilemmas are approached in the Australian context.
