Abstract
It is important to always look at all the genital area to be able to end up with a treatment plan that really enhances all the area. The pubic region can be treated alone or as part of rejuvenation of the area.
In the pubic area, we can have patients with excess of skin and/or loss of fatty tissue and patients with excess fatty tissue that limits them when wearing tight cloths.
For those patients that have excess fatty tissue, the option will be fat extraction with liposuction, and for those where there is presence of excess skin, a pubic pexy can be a good option. When performing a pubic pexy, it is important to choose the right patient since in those women that have the condition and had their children through vaginal delivery, a suprapubic scar, similar to a C section, will be done. In those with previous C section, the procedure can be performed on the same C section scar although it is important for the patient to know that when there is too much excess skin, the C section scar will be prolonged laterally on both sides.
