Abstract
The variants associated with prostatic artery anatomy add to the challenge associated with PAE. Therefore, it is important to be familiar with the internal iliac branching patterns and the typical courses of the branches. The prostatic artery can arise from any branch of the internal iliac artery, but it most commonly arises from the internal pudendal artery, the obturator artery, or the anterior division itself.
