Abstract

Chronobiology describes the biologic variations of organ systems based on circadian rhythm. The chronobiology of allergic diseases, including asthma and allergic rhinitis, often drives worsening symptoms in the early morning hours. Because of this, much study has gone into the appropriate timing of administration of medications to treat these symptoms when at their worst. However, further work is needed to improve chronotherapy to treat allergic disease.
