Abstract

The skin diseases affecting the external genitalia are those that are related to cutaneous disorders, cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease, and sexually transmitted diseases. Almost any cutaneous disorder can manifest on the skin of the external genitalia, the common cutaneous disorders seen on the genital skin are contact dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, lichen simplex chronicus, fixed drug eruption, intertrigo, candidiasis, lichen planus, psoriasis, herpes simplex, and molluscum contiagiosum. This chapter discusses the diseases specific to the external genitalia.
