Abstract
In this paper micropulsations will be defined, following common practice, as those natural fluctuations of the ambient magnetic field strength or direction that have periods from about 0.3 to several hundred seconds. On the short period side micropulsations are bounded by the ELF region of the spectrum. The boundary on the long period side lacks a convenient definition. No special attention will be given to bays, crochets, sudden impulses, or other morphological features commonly studied from normal run magnetograms in so far as these can be separated from micropulsations.
