Abstract

Neurological disorders are not uncommon in the elderly. Fortunately, recent advances in diagnosis and treatment have reduced both morbidity and mortality associated with these problems. Alterations in the peripheral and central nervous system, however, remain a leading cause of institutionalization and altered life style in the elderly.
