Theory of Electron Spin Effects in Electron-Atom Scattering

  • Chapter
Polarized Electron/Polarized Photon Physics

Part of the book series: Physics of Atoms and Molecules ((PAMO))

Abstract

It is impossible in the space available here to review the whole area of spin effects in electron-atom scattering. For that the reader is referred to the excellent works of Kessler1,2. Rather I have selected some topics to illustrate the subject and to highlight some interesting results and problems.
