Abstract

At present, research on sibling relationships across the life span has not yet provided a coherent body of knowledge. The study of sibling relationships is still a young field of research, awaiting the discovery of new aspects of sibling relationships to fill the gaps in present knowledge, the further verification of phenomena already discovered, and the formulation of theories of sibling relationships that have explanatory power across the life span.
