Abstract
Decrepitude is not a phenomenon to be seen only in advanced age, but begins in infancy. It is generally considered that growth is a theme for pediatricians and decrepitude a theme for geriatricians. However, growth and decrepitude cannot be differentiate from each other, and should be studied simultaneously. Therefore, ageing should be studied from the viewpoint on two fields.
