Abstract

The study of germanium (silicon)-containing and other chalcogenide glasses is the subject of [20]. The authors have investigated the microhardness, the softening temperature, the coefficients of thermal expansion, the dielectric constant, the resistivity, the IR spectra, and other physical and chemical properties of glasses of a number of binary and three-component systems. From the IR spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, and x-ray diffraction data the authors draw conclusions concerning the character of the chemical bonds and the structures of the investigated glasses.
