Abstract

Recent work in the nucleate-boiling region [1–7] indicates that the effect of the physical properties of fluids which follow the law of corresponding states to a high degree of accuracy can be specified by a reduced variable (reduced temperature, reduced pressure, or reduced volume) in correlations. This paper presents a correlation procedure where the effect of the boiling fluids physical properties is determined by a reduced pressure.
