Abstract

One assumption implicit to least squares analyses is that any variation in the error of the dependent variable is known, so that the correct weighting can be applied (3). However, there has been no discussion of the errors associated with measurements of choline (Ch) uptake. Cleland (2) defined weights for two different distributions, in which errors were either constant (homoscedastic) or proportional to velocity (heteroscedastic).
