Abstract
In the present theory(1) we assume that the growth process of cells is related to the diffusion mechanism of dissociated salts as, for instance, across the plasma membrane from the extracelular domain to and from the cytoplasm, on through the nuclear membrance between the nucleus and the cytoplasm.
