Abstract

The literature [1–10] gives only the optimal conditions for producing mixtures of CdO and ZnO crystals of various shapes, while studies have been made [11, 12] of effect of some experimental parameters on the shape of CdO crystals. Here we consider the relation between growth conditions and morphology for CdO and ZnO single crystals in mass spontaneous crystallization and in growth on seeds. We have examined also the effects of indium In as a dope as regards the shape of ZnO crystals.
