Abstract
A survey conducted at the Scottish Horticultural Research Institute to determine the distribution of trichodorid species in the British Isles was initiated as a study of the association of plant parasitic nematodes with forest trees but was later expanded to include analysis of samples collected from other vegetation areas in a survey of Longidorus and Xiphinema (see Brown in these Proceedings).
