Abstract
Amorphous films consisting of a periodic sequence of n- and p-doped layers are expected to exhibit similar peculiarities as crystalline doping superlattices. It is also shown that the study of amorphous doping superlattices can provide new information about the host material. Examples include the determination of the gap density of states, and of the relaxation and recombination lifetimes of non-equilibrium carriers.
