Analysis of Farmers’ Strategies in the Central and North-West Regions of Burkina Faso: Approach and Some Results

Sustainable Food Security in West Africa

Abstract

The population of the Central and North-West regions in Burkina Faso faces a gloomy prospect. As a matter of fact, the situation is critical: the prevailing systems of production and distribution do not prevent serious food shortages for the majority of people, and, through the force of circumstances, natural resources are overexploited.
