Abstract
This symposium on “Ultraviolet and Ionizing Radiations: From Molecules to Cells” has few, if any, precedents. Comparisons of the effects of different types of radiation are made at meetings devoted to mutagenesis, carcinogenesis, DNA repair, etc. However, I am not aware of any scientific meeting specifically designed to compare photobiological and radiobiological effects.
