Abstract
Relationship Enhancement (RE) therapies have been developed and empirically researched over the last three decades (B. Guerney, 1990). Their development began with the development of Filial Therapy, also called Child Relationship Enhancement Therapy, and then extended to couple therapy and family therapy with adolescents. In each instance, after the therapy had been developed and tested, a parallel problem-prevention/ enrichment program was developed based on the same principles and methods (B. Guerney, 1988).
