Abstract

As a result of the rapid development of technology, the deployment of biometrics electronic purse has moved from the laboratory to the commercial world. This chapter reviews the current advances and designs of biometrics electronic purse. In particular, the architecture of a smart card and its security issues related to commercial applications are addressed.
