Abstract
Professor Ginzburg has discussed some puzzling aspects of the structural phase transition in quartz which have not yet been completely resolved. This problem is of particular interest currently because of the discovery of “central peaks” in the neutron and light scattering spectra of a number of crystals during the last few years.
