Abstract
Certain neurologic disorders occur during pregnancy because of some of the physiological changes that the body undergoes during pregnancy. For the same reason, in some instances, preexisting neurologic disorders may undergo an alteration in their course during pregnancy. The occurrence of certain nerve compression syndromes during pregnancy is an example of the former, and the alterations in the course of convulsive disorders, brain tumors, and myasthenia gravis exemplify the latter.
