Abstract
Given the Soar architecture and the empirical demonstration of the previous chapter, we are in a position to evaluate the work and its impact. In this chapter we combine the investigation of some unresolved issues with an evaluation and discussion of the impact of universal subgoaling on five general topics: goals, memory management, the preference scheme, production systems, and future work to be performed in this area.
