Abstract
In the process of evolution all living creatures adapted to the natural alternation between daylight and darkness. Accordingly, it can be demonstrated that the systems of all organisms, from protozoa to man, are affected by the day-night sequence. Fluctuations occurring in the course of the day can deviate more than 100 percent from the diurnal mean value.
