Abstract

Studies of the ureter utilizing radionuclides have been infrequent since the introduction of three radioisotope tests into the field of urology in the 1950s. It was recognized early that radioisotope measurements of kidney and bladder function were affected by ureterodynamics. Conversely, some information concerning the ureters could be ascertained by upper and lower urinary tract isotope studies.
