Abstract

Disturbances of pupillary light reflexes are classified into three groups depending on the localization of the disease process:

  • Those accompanying lesions of the afferent pupillary pathway

  • Those accompanying lesions of the midbrain (involving the pretecto-oculomotor tract)

  • Those accompanying lesions of the efferent pupillary pathways.
