Abstract

The use of information technology in organizations has been fundamental to the success of some organizations for decades. The ever increasing availability of powerful information technology makes the importance of exploiting this technology ever more important. This chapter looks first at some important examples of how information technology is developed in organizations. Then the development of educational interactive media in universities is studied. Experiences with a networked hypermedia information system for a research organization are then presented, and finally organizational experiences with telemedicine are described.
