Abstract
Two transition functions, one given by Arnal, Coustols & Juillen and the other by Narasimha, are incorporated into a boundary layer program along with an otherwise conventional Baldwin-Lomax turbulence model. Calculations are performed for incompressible flow past a flat plate and compressible flow past a sharp cone at Mach 6 from the leading edge through transition to the fully turbulent state. Results from these calculations are compared with the available experimental data.
