Part of the book series: Health Informatics ((HI))

Abstract

This chapter is about two of the hottest information technology (IT) topics in health care today: data warehousing and clinical data repositories (CDRs). Both of these concepts aim to provide users with an enterprise-wide integrated information infrastructure for making critical business and/or care delivery decisions. More specifically, users can now have access to truly integrated clinical, demographic, financial, and other data.
