Abstract
This chapter aims to introduce the reader to the important parameters associated with CT scanning. It highlights how the CT projection data and the functional isotope imaging data are combined. It then goes on to describe the user-adjustable CT scanning parameters and their effects on the resulting images and the dose delivered to the patient. It concludes with an overview of image reconstruction methods including common artifacts
