Abstract
Patients with severe mitral regurgitation and are at high risk for surgery may benefit from a percutaneous leaflet repair with the MitraClip device (Abbott Vascular, Santa Clara, California). Interatrial tear during device manipulation is a rare complication and can be closed percutaneously with an Amplatzer septal occluder (AGA Medical, Plymouth, MN) at the conclusion for the procedure.
