Abstract
Metastases as the first manifestation of a primary bone tumor are much rarer in children than in adults and the primary site of the tumor is usually already known. If the primary site has not yet been recognized, this is the result of unsufficient clinical history, superficial clinical examination or failure to perform appropriate radiographic or biochemical examinations.
