Abstract
There is a huge international research effort underway into the mechanisms and treatment of Hughes’ syndrome. One of the bonuses of working in th is disease has been the degree of collaboration world-wide. Our own unit for example, has published collaborative studies with colleagues in Japan, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Israel, Holland, America and France. The regular international meetings are truly constructive, and the publications in international journals such as “LUPUS” reflect the teamwork and the huge expansion in knowledge of this subject.
