Abstract
In 1984, Motorola launched the world’s first commercially available handheld cellular phone, the DynaTAC 8000X. Popularly known as “The Brick”, it measured 300 × 44 × 89 mm (13“ × 1.75“ × 3.5“) and weighed a hefty 785 g (2 lb).
