Abstract
Now that you have extracted the data that your need from your source, it is very likely that you are going to want to change it or clean it before you load it into the worksheet or the Excel Data Model. It’s rarely the case that your source data is in exactly the right format and, of course, this is where Power Query shows its worth. In this chapter, you’ll learn about all of the functionality in the Power Query query editor for filtering, sorting, aggregating, and unpivoting your data, and you will take a first look at how you can use the M language to define calculations in custom columns.
