Abstract
XML APIs have always been available for the Java developer, usually supplied as third-party libraries that could be added to the runtime classpath. However, in Java 7, you will find that the Java API for XML Processing (JAXP), Java API for XML Binding (JAXB), and even the Java API for XML Web Services (JAXWS) have been included in the core runtime libraries.
